The Technical and Engineering Unit of Tidewater Co. is comprised of proficient and experienced specialist workgroups that undertake repairs and preparation of ports and watercraft equipment in northern and southern ports, as well as dry ports. Operation, repair and maintenance of tugboats, as well as strategic and non-strategic port equipment, such as gantry cranes, transtainers, reach stackers, toplift cranes, power packs, etc. are considered among the activities undertaken in this field.

The major activities of this unit are as follows:

– Repair and maintenance of port equipment

– Managing and operating watercraft

– Assembling and disassembling port equipment

– Installing and commissioning port equipment

– Management of shipyard

Considering the wide range of owned or leased equipment available to Tidewater, the Company has implemented and established a system for coordination of technical and engineering activities, and recording feedbacks on such activities, in order to implement optimized methods for repair, maintenance, supervising and controlling results and documentations, as well as to communicate with repairing workshops and mechanized machinery workshops.
